Pukkelpop 2011 disaster (34 images)
On August 18th Pukkelpop in Kiewit, Hasselt, Belgium was struck by an extremely severe but short weather storm. 5 people died and several wounded. Pukkelpop is one of the bigger and more popular music summer festivals in Europe, and about the biggest after Rock Werchter. Some 60,000 people were at the event.
The first 3 images were shot minutes before the storm when the sky went dark. The other images were taken within an hour after the storm.
